POWERS
POWERS
Those fated to bring light back to this world will be granted a constellation that represents them in the night sky. This will manifest itself as a brand or tattoo on the person’s body, located wherever the player sees fit. For the purpose of this AU, the constellation will be the one from the game proper- so Tartaglia still has a celestial narwhal, for example, except now the constellation will be visible on his body. Visions are not available, and powers manifest from the constellation instead.
However, the player can now choose which element they would like their character to have. Feel free to swap to a different element than usual, or just stick with the same one!
The constellation does not have to appear right away when the story begins. Your character will be at a disadvantage with dealing with the monsters of the world, but it can manifest at any time you deem appropriate or what is in line with your own personal story for your character. However, your character will eventually receive one.
Once the constellation appears on the character’s body, they will also have access to a weapon of choice. This will help them fight off the monsters that still plague the world, but they are not limited to the five weapons available in Genshin. If you want to have a scythe instead, go for it! Anything can be a weapon, and I mean anything. If you’re not sure if a weapon is okay to have, feel free to ask. Chances are it’s probably okay. Eventually, as your power grows, you can learn an additional weapon, up to two. This is a modern AU, so you can have advanced tech as weapons….just don’t ask for a rocket launcher or a tank. The last thing we need is a drunk bard with a tank.
Maybe you can get a rocket launcher, later. We’ll see.
Your character's proficiency with the weapon can range from as clumsy to as mastered as you want- whatever works best for you and the AU you choose to create.
Eventually over time, stars will start to light up within the constellation. This will be the power up mechanic for characters to grow stronger- players can determine whatever they like to be the cause of having a star light up within their constellation as part as their own personal plots or within the main plot itself, whatever you choose. There are six total stars. How this power up is also up to the player. Gain new abilities, power up existing moves, create new techniques, whatever your imagination comes up with.
